I actually don’t watch many movies. Only a handful of them, and I’m not sure they’re good. But I recently found myself watching the documentary “Won’t You Be My Neighbor” which is about the community on the island of Maui that was once home to the Hula Hoops.
It’s such a funny story and I love all the old school stuff you just can’t mention in a movie, but I just really want to go see it again. There’s also some interesting information in the documentary about the real life Hula Hoops, which I’m not sure if I can use for my own blog post, but I’m sure someone here will have some ideas for my blog post.
I really recommend it. The documentary highlights the community and how the Hula Hoops have remained true to their roots despite the changes. They continue to practice the traditions they learned from the Hula Hoop’s, and maintain the same atmosphere in the park.
The film also shows the community at the end of the day, where it is all about the Hula Hoops. We are all just going to keep doing what we’re doing, but once we get into the process, we’re going to learn so much. It’s all about the Hula Hoops, but sometimes your life is better spent doing the things that you’ve been doing.
