The world is full of such movies. There’s a whole genre that is centered around the idea of the “perfect movie.” All of the best movies, and most of the worst movies, are about the “perfect” movie. The fact of the matter is that most moviegoers that watch these movies are most likely looking for something that is a “must-see” or “perfect” movie.

One of the problems with movies like you’ve got mail is that they’re all movies about a certain movie. But, the problem of many movies and movies-like-you’s is that they all just look like they should be this perfect movie. They don’t really seem like movies that could be improved upon, so we don’t care what other people think. We’re just left to wonder why we should care because it’s so great.
