I’m not so much a fan of movies that are set in “real world” settings, but this is one that I do find engaging. The story centers around a young boy named Noah who is forced to move into a new town with his estranged father, trying to figure out how to get along with his classmates, and his new-found stepmother.

While I have to admit that the movie does feel a little forced, I think there are plenty of great scenes between Noah and his new friends. The one that stands out is when Noah’s stepmother starts to get on his father’s nerves. In the beginning there are so many issues going on that it’s hard to keep track of everything, but once Noah realizes that his stepmother wants to kill him I think that he manages to put things right.

The movie’s a tad slow in parts. It feels a little too rushed. The movie feels like it feels because the story isn’t really told well or in-depth at first. I think the movie would have benefited from a little bit more time and a little bit more exposition.

As it turns out, it didn’t take long for Noah to realize that his stepmother had been trying to kill him for a while now. When he finds out that she’s trying to kill him he decides to help her and help them both get out of town. The movie is very slow, with lots of missed opportunities and a lot of wasted time. It really feels rushed and it makes you wonder if this movie will have any longevity because the movie itself is so rushed.

There are several scenes in this movie that feel rushed. The way we hear Noah’s story and the way we see his relationship with his stepmother are all rushed and feel almost like filler. I get the feeling that the writers were not entirely happy with how things were going and were trying to give us a short but meaningful story with minimal exposition, but that’s all I can say. I know that if they had written a complete story then I may have had more to say.
