I’ve been watching a lot of John Michael Higgs movies lately. They’re definitely worth your time. I loved ‘Sideways’, and ‘Sliding Doors’ is another I’ve been enjoying a lot.
Higgs is a British director who directed a couple of films including A Clockwork Orange. His recent film, The Last Airbender, deals with a group of teenagers who take off in a plane, only to find that the plane is being controlled by a remote control. Sounds crazy, right? Well, it makes sense, since the last time this situation was put on a movie screen, it didn’t go well.
The Last Airbender is a great movie, but it doesnt have anything to do with The Last Airbender. The movie is a satire about the dangers of Internet video games. The last thing this group of young kids do is go on a shopping spree, and buy a video game that they think is going to help them win the game. The video game is actually a piece of hacking software that allows the players to control the game-maker.
The movie is about how kids today are so caught up in their games that they think the only way to win is by cheating. The problem is that this kind of thinking is wrong and unhealthy. We can have a healthy debate about how to handle cheating on video games, but we can’t debate what games we should play.
In that same vein, there are two problems with the movie. First, it’s a bit too much about the players. It looks like the kids have some sort of secret plan to cheat, but there’s no real way of knowing what it is without the video game. Second, the movie is all about the game. It’s almost like a “how to cheat video game” tutorial.
The movie also seems to suggest that cheating is a part of video game play, but it doesn’t really say exactly how to do it. In a video game, players cheat by doing things like opening doors, hiding objects, or hiding themselves in the shadows. In the movie, there’s no way to know exactly where you are or what you’re doing, so you’re just hoping your character is hiding, hoping you’re hiding, and hoping that your character is looking over your shoulder.
The only way I can imagine this movie working would be if the developer was really smart about hiding things. I dont really see how you could cheat the game without doing exactly that.
You can cheat the game, but doing so would make your character smarter. If you can hide things from the camera, that makes your character smarter, so that is how the game works. You can be smarter that way, it just takes practice.
I see this movie working as well just by being clever about hiding things from the camera. I guess if the developer is smart about hiding the game, then you don’t have to hide anything from me.
I think this line of reasoning can be used to explain so much of the rest of the games. They just hide things from us so that we don’t have to think about it. The only way to actually cheat the game is to actually do something that you don’t want to do.
