This might seem like a minor thing, but when you’re sleeping, you’re not really sleeping. Most of the time you are thinking about other things, but when you are actually asleep, you aren’t really asleep. Even if you are in bed, you are still awake. You are still conscious, and you are still awake. You just aren’t aware of it.

If the content is bad or repetitive, then the person may want to watch something else. It’s like a bad DVD player. If the content is too bad, then the person may want to watch something else. And if the content is too good, then the person might be tempted to pay attention to their own slumber.
In a true sleeping movie, no one watches the movie. But in the same time, no one pays attention to the movie. Because it is just a movie. In that sense, sleeping movies are very similar to sleepwalking movies. Both are movies that are completely non-consensual.
