This movie, The Stranger, follows a young man from his hometown who returns to his hometown to find his father, who is now living alone, has mysteriously disappeared. The young man returns to his hometown and tries to put together the pieces of his father’s puzzle. While I enjoyed this movie and thought it was well done, I also felt that it was quite slow moving. As much as I love the movie, it’s really about Eleven’s brother Mike. He’s trying to live up to his father’s legacy and do what he can to make sure the family gets what it deserves. He’s trying to make sure the others get what they need. This is the movie that has me most interested because it’s about these kids being kids, and doing what they feel is right for them.
While I admit that its not always easy to empathize with a character like Mike, I have to admit that the film is pretty cool. Its about kids being kids, and doing what they feel is right for them. One thing that I love is that as a kid, I was always drawn to the weirdest and weirdest movies. Because I was always going to be in that weird place with that weird kid who was going to do something weird.
I don’t know what makes the movie stand out to me.
