I was watching Baharat on Netflix last night and had to make a quick note. There’s a lot of good advice out there, but I found the one that got me most interested was this. It’s about the most common cause of burnout. The author talks about the three levels of self-awareness, which are awareness of the self, awareness of others, and awareness of the world.
In my experience, burnout (or lack of it) is a direct result of being too caught up in the world or our lives. We have all been so busy having our cake and eating it that we can’t get it to the table that we can eat it, so we end up burnt out. We are stuck in this state of being at the mercy of life, and it happens to everyone at some point.
Self-awareness is the ability to acknowledge that we are in control of our own lives. We are in control of our lives; we can choose to be happy, sad, or whatever, but we need to realize that we can only control our lives by choosing to be happy or sad. When we are in our burnout state, we are unable to choose happiness or sadness, so we end up taking on that role in our lives.
In our current state of being in our burnout state, we’re stuck in a vicious cycle. We want to be happy, but we can’t stop ourselves from being sad, so we end up taking on that role in our lives which leads to more sadness. We can’t be sad anymore, so we end up taking on the role of being depressed.

We take on the role of being depressed because if there isn’t any happiness to be found, then there is no point in being sad. Depression is the only state that we can choose to be in. It is the one state in which we can choose not to be depressed. However, being depressed is the most painful and difficult state we can ever be in.
This is the most depressing part about being depressed. When you are depressed, you can’t do anything but sit around and wait for things to go wrong. But being depressed is so painful and difficult that it makes even the simplest things impossible to do. You cant even go to the bathroom. You cant take a shower, you cant do dishes, you cant even open a door. You cant sleep. You cant talk. You cant cook. You cant go shopping.
In depression, it appears that we can’t do anything at all, and this is the most frustrating part about being depressed. If you’re depressed, you cant do anything at all. You cant go to the bathroom. You cant take a shower. You cant cook. You cant even open a door. You can’t sleep. You can’t go to the grocery store. You can’t even take a phone call.
When you’re in a depression, you cant do anything but sit at home, or at least, sit in a chair. The only thing you can do is watch a lot of movies. The problem is, most movies are depressing. Even if you want to watch a movie to cheer you up, you cant do that. You cant even talk. This sucks because people who can actually talk have a hard time talking to one another in movies.
It makes sense, but you cant talk to people who can’t even talk to each other in movies. There’s a lot of psychological issues with this kind of thing, but it’s still pretty bad. So how do you watch movies to feel better? Well, you probably already know the answer.
